The Finale

Before the season, anyone with even the most basic of football knowledge wouldn’t be surprised that Asker1 walked away with a win last weekend. However, after Brann’s until-then ace of a season, one couldn’t help to be a bit disappointed. Especially when Lydersen’s early goal sent the away section roaring.

The outcome after today is simple. Brann must WIN, in order to still have a fair fighting chance for gold. That would put them two points ahead of their championship rivals, just like it was before last gameweek. A draw, or even worse, a loss would simply put Brann too many points behind to keep up. We askes a few supporters what their thoughts were before this monumentous game:

Arne Færseth, 45 years old, accountant: They must win! A new division IV run is way overdue, they’re way too good for their durrent division!

Fredrik Abrahamsen, 78 years old, hot dog vendor and former Brann player: I’ll actually be closing my stall for this game, because I have to catch every minute of this! Normally I’d prioritize business over watching the game, but this is simply too important.

Morten Antonsen, 23 years old, student: I’m thinking no guts, no glory. They went with a defensive approach that almost paid off last week. Now is the time to go all-out!

Brann have spent a lot of resources advertising todays game, and have already announced that 50.000 seats are sold. With beatiful sunny weather on the table and the biggest Brann game in many years, this might be the first time ever we see a fully sold out Brann Stadion!
